Dear Residents of Green,
Over the past three years, it has been an honor to serve as your Mayor. During that time, the City of Green has flourished, emerging as a safe, promising, and growing community, positioning itself as one of the most desirable locations to live and work in Northeast Ohio.
As I promised to do upon taking office as your Mayor, I have employed strong business and financial experience with sound fiscal management to secure a growing and vibrant economic environment in the City of Green. The addition of new businesses and private sector jobs has secured a strong tax base, while generating an increase in city revenues for three consecutive years. Our infrastructure has witnessed major improvements, most notably the completion of the Massillon Road roundabout and the widening of Arlington Road/Rt. 619. Recreational and wellness opportunities—such as the new Summa health pavilion, with a 24-hour emergency room and Akron General’s wellness facility—have been pursued as well, including upgrades to our city parks and the construction of a new Veteran’s Memorial.
In light of the above accomplishments, much more important work needs to be done in order to secure and maintain a strong and vibrant future for our proud city. It is with great pleasure and a profound sense of responsibility that I announce my intent to pursue re-election as your Mayor. During the months and weeks ahead, a dedicated campaign team and I will be diligently working towards achieving this goal. To learn more about the campaign and the issues critical to keeping the City of Green on a promising path, be sure to visit the campaign’s web site often during the months leading up to the November election.
